Behind the Shoot: Studio Session with 5th Phrame

A few weeks ago, I had the chance to run a creative studio session that gave me total freedom to experiment with light, angles, and energy. Unlike weddings or outdoor shoots, this studio setup let me slow down, stay focused, and truly control the environment.

The client needed clean, professional portraits with a bit of edge, so I leaned into shadow play and dynamic posing to give the final gallery more attitude without sacrificing polish.

Studio Vibes + Gear Setup

This was a quick, focused shoot. Nothing overcomplicated—just good light, good energy, and gear I trust:

What’s In My Bag:

  • Sony A7R IV – My go-to for high-resolution stills and sharp detail.

  • Sigma 35mm f1.4 DGDN – Crisp glass with creamy bokeh for tighter studio work.

  • Godox V2 Flash (V860 Gen 2) – Versatile and dependable off-camera flash for clean lighting control

Reflections

Sometimes, a smaller setup brings out bigger creativity. This shoot reminded me how important it is to not overthink things—just create. I’ll be sharing more studio-focused content soon, including lighting setups, posing breakdowns, and quick edit reels.

Stay locked in.
